Rafa has been the Manager of Liverpool FC since 2005. In his first season, he won the UEEA champions League , the biggest club competition in the world. He won the FA cup in next season. Since them it has been zero. I think that Rafa has been an wonderful tactician in player's training. His weakness has been the inability to find out the real talents when coming to transfer market. He had signed many number of players compared to other Big 4s. And also he let go same number of players. He signed Voronin, Riera and some other who were considered as Flops. He signed them because they had been top players in thier leagues. They were unable to fit in English conditions. That is thier major Drawbacks. Voronin has get good loan spell on Germany. But, he still fails to impress in English conditions. So, he was sold.
Other aspects in Rafa's career is the Cautious play. He didn't allow many players to play. Alberto Has been the latest player to be affected by Rafa's cautious play. He will not get a go on opposite teams.
Another feature of Rafa's transfer policy is Signing of Spanish Player. Look out the number of spanish players he had in his squad. Torres, Alonso, Reina, Reira, Arbeloa and many other reserve team player. He also signed many players from spanish clubs. I finaly conclude that Rafa was efficient in finding real talents Big money shinings. The big money signing include Torres, Mascherano and Glen Johnson, has been successful. But, there is also a small budget players Gryakos, Insua are also been not much flops. The flops of Rafa's signings include Babel (who is a glimpse of talent but fails due to ruthless play), Benayoun (who plays in crucial part of Liverpool squad but he is not a complete player). Robbie Keane was the most contraversial signing rafa ever made. He tried to buy Gareth Barry but Ended in signing up Keane. Keane stayed at Anfield for 6 months. He scored 7times in the leagues. Then he was sold again to parent club. There is a huge rumour regarding Keane why he bought and sold. This is the controversy
